Our Story
The Edidem Effiong Jimmy Iyawot Empowerment Foundation was established to honor the life, leadership, and legacy of Edidem Effiong Jimmy Iyawot, the Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ibom in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
Throughout his life, Edidem Effiong Jimmy Iyawot dedicated himself to the well-being of his people. He believed leadership was not about power, but about service, compassion, and responsibility to others. As a traditional ruler and community leader, he devoted his time to supporting families, guiding the youth, strengthening unity among villages, and improving opportunities for the people he served.
The Foundation continues this legacy by empowering individuals and communities through skills vocational education, development programs, and humanitarian support.
His life reflected the principle of servant leadership a leader who serves his people first. The Foundation was created to carry forward that same spirit of service, ensuring that his vision for community upliftment continues to impact future generations.
